DIFFUSING ESSENTIAL OILS

Smells are incredibly powerful. They can help us relax, energize us, change our moods, or remind us of certain memories and places. Diffusing different essential oils allows you to be intentional with your space and everyday life. Essential oils are compounds extracted from plants that capture the plant’s unique scent, and different oils have different benefits. So while they work to make you’re spaces smell beautiful…they will also benefit you personally. Here are our current favourite oils to diffuse and why:

GRAPEFRUIT
An uplifting, fresh citrus scent that is rejuvenating for both the body, mind and soul, and can instantly brighten your mood. We love pairing it with lemon or lime essential oil for extra energizing brightness.

BERGAMOT
Another citrus oil, bergamot is great for those comforting cozy nights you want to curl up on the couch and unwind. It helps calm the mind and can help relieve cold and flu symptoms.

EUCALYPTUS
This is the one we reach for when we’re looking to have a spa day. Eucalyptus is revitalizing, invigorating, soothing, antimicrobial and antibacterial. It will help you feel open, clear and calm.

SPRUCE
An easy way to bring the outdoors in, spruce is crisp and woodsy, and will leave you feeling energized, grounded, clear and open.

Using essential oils to give scent to your spaces will help set the mood and tone for your mornings, afternoons or evenings. With a wide variety of scents and benefits, you can pick and choose the ones that call to you based on what you’re currently needing more of, whether that be energizing, grounding or calming. Make sure to source your oils from reliable sources that use non-toxic, all-natural and 100% pure essential oils. Scent should be part of your wellness routine just as much as eating healthy and moving your body.
