Switching our standard beauty products to non-toxic more natural alternatives has become more and more popular throughout the past few years. After quite a bit of trial and error, we’ve found our tried and true favourites that we feel safe and confident using. Today, we’re sharing our favourite non-toxic makeup brands and products to help you support your well-being through your makeup bag.
KOSAS TINTED FACE OIL FOUNDATION
Exactly what it sounds like, this foundation is a light-coverage tint full of plant oils that moisturize, sooth, repair, nourish, brighten and plump the skin. It feels comfortable on the skin and while it’s pretty lightweight you can build it for more coverage.
RMS “UN” COVER UP
This lightweight concealer literally melts in to your skin and leaves you looking dewy and hydrated. Made using raw coconut oil, cocoa butter and beeswax, this super creamy formula is made to be applied with your fingers, and is surprisingly long-lasting and easy to blend. It’s compact, will last you for months and makes your skin look like skin. It’s definitely not high coverage, but honestly that’s what we love about it!
RMS LIP2CHEEK
Honestly, RMS tends to knock it out of the park every time. Their Lip2Cheek is the type of multi-tasking product we love, because we can use it on our lips, cheeks and even eyelids. Their formulas are creamy, bendable and give the most natural and buildable flush of colour. Just like the “Un” Cover Up and a lot of their other products, the Lip2Cheek’s come in little pots and are super easy to apply with your fingers.
KOSAS THE SUN SHOW BRONZER
A talc-free powder bronzer that’s surprisingly creamy and lightweight. Kosas says it’s like a golden hour filter for your face, and we couldn’t agree more. This bronzer gives the prettiest warm glow that’s easy to blend and doesn’t leave you looking dirty, shiny or sparkly.
RMS LUMINIZER
Say hello to the only highlighter you will ever need. It’s an award winning cult classic with a serious following, and for good reason. It’s creamy and blends easily to give you that lit from within glow that looks incredibly dewy and natural. Full of nourishing and hydrating ingredients for luminous skin with no glitter in sight.
KOSAS AIR BROW
We’re pretty low maintenance when it comes to our brows, so a one step brow gel is all we need. Whether you prefer a tinted or clear formulation, Kosas has you covered. Their eyebrow gel gives us the fluffy full brows we want that actually stay in place without the crunch or flakiness that some formulations give. It’s even full of hair care actives to help strengthen, condition and hydrate for healthier brows!
ILIA LIMITLESS LASH MASCARA
Another award-winning cult favourite product, this mascara lifts, separates, defines, curls, lengthens our lashes with the perfect amount of volume and free from any flakes. It’s buildable, is gentle enough for sensitive eyes and contains ingredients to nourish and enhance our lashes.
